Hans Kock was born in 1988 in Siek. After studying illustration at the Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften (HAW) Hamburg, he trained as a tailor at Hamburger Kostümwerk and completed his certification as a Gewandmeister. Hans has held positions with the Hamburgische Staatsoper, Bundesjugendballett and as a freelance costume maker, where he has been engaged by several well-known artists and organizations such as the Ernst Deutsch Theater, the Ruhrtriennale, costume designer Dennis Peschke and director Jan Philip Stange, among others.
In 2021, Hans opened his own costume workshop called Aventures de Paulette that specializes in custom costume creation and individualized tailoring. The space is also offered as a venue to promote local artists and performers such as the House of Brownies - an artist collective founded by former members of the Bundesjugendballett.
